Q: Can I use my mid 2010 IMac as an external Monitor for my Windows 10 PC using a DVI-D to minidisplay port adapter and/or did apple get rid of the Target Display mode?
I have a mid 2010 IMac and I occasionally would like to use it as a second monitor for my windows 10 PC with a GTI 670 Graphics Card. The card has 2 DVI outputs and an HDMI output. I've been hoping to connect DVI-D cable to my PC and a MiniDisplay Port Adapter plugged into the IMac to do this. After connecting, my IMac doesn't appear to respond to CMND-F2, (with or with out the FN key), when I do a spotlight search for Target Mode it opens up my Startup Disk and it doesn't see any drives, and it gives me 2 options. (Restart...) and (Target Disk Mode...). Where am I going wrong?
Did apple truly kill this feature?
