Hey there,
i was wondering, if there is any difference between the AirPlay express generatiion, according the AirPlay functionality? I know the new version can build the ndual Wifi networks. Does this effect AirPlay in any way, maybe speed or stabilty? Does the old version work with the changes, that Apple made to AirPlay in iOS 9 and OS X 11?

As CellarDwellr has mentioned, there is little difference between the two 802.11n generations of the Express base station for audio ... expect the jitter component. Please check out the following Computer Audiophile article for more details on their findings.
