User-level diagnostics are probably insufficient for a complete assessment of damage, if any. Best bet is to BACK THE COMPUTER UP immediately, full-disk/everything, and then taking it to an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider so they can run more profound tests on it.

If your computer wasn’t connected to the power and you were online with WiFi your computer almost certainly sustained no damage. If you had the computer connected to power the power adaptor may have sustained damage but if it did you’d almost certainly have other electronic devices in the house that were also damaged: TV and microwave are two candidates. I’ve never seen a notebook sustain damage even when connected to power without other electronics also sustaining damage - unless an Ethernet cable was plugged into it. Even then it is rare.

Do you have other devices using the modem/router?Are they behaving as youd expect? Being connected to power and in the case of the modem also connected to an outside wire, it is more likely to sustain damage than the computer. Although my modem is connected to a surge protector I’ve had 2 modems fail after close lightning strikes even though nothing else in the house was damaged.
