Q: Podcast image won't update

Before anyone calls this a duplicate question, know that I have searched the support section thoroughly for an answer.  I saw a solution that the image needs to be 1400 x 1400 px.  I saw that the feed needs to be updated with a new episode before the change is picked up.  Both things I have tried, both things have not worked.

I updated my podcast art to a 1400 x 1400 image on SoundCloud, where my podcast is hosted.  When I play a podcast episode on iTunes, the new artwork shows up on my phone with the episode.  However, in the iTunes STORE, when searching for my podcast, my old image remains.

Is there a way to trigger the iTunes store to re-index its cache of images, so that my podcast image is updated?  For your reference to see, it is "You Heard it Here Second" by Derek and Steve.  Searching for that will show you the podcast, but you'll, notice if you actually play an episode, the artwork is updated.  Just isn't updated in the store, or on the podcast's iTunes page.

Any advice?

Thanks,

Derek

Your iTunes Store page is at https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/you-heard-it-here-second/id1063550166?mt=2

    Your feed is at http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:57682175/sounds.rss

(Please always post these when you have a question to save detective work).

The image in the Store is drawn from the 'tunes:image' tag in the top section of the feed: yours is at

This image is compliant with the requirements. It can take some days for a new image to appear in the Store: and it's important than when you change the image you change the filename, because the Store caches the image and if the filename remains the same it has now way of knowing it's changed. As long as you changed the filename it's just a question of waiting. If you didn't, obviously you should do so.

I don't know how the iOS podcasts app handles images but it looks as if it's reading the image embedded in the media files - all except the most recent episode have these embedded images showing the new version. They appear when subscribed in iTunes. When playing an episode in the Store the image in the 'itunes:image' tag within each item tag should show (in the top bar, very small) but this has not yet updated either - the feed has the newer version. Again, it's probably just a question of waiting provided you changed the filenames.
