Exporting digital drum tracks to a standalone multitrack

Hi all --
I'm new to the world of digital music creation, and I've been stumped by a problem that I may have found the answer to. But I want to know for sure before spending hours/days only to find that I was wrong.

I'm an ol' school musician who's been frustrated by DAW-based tools (incompatibilities, freezes, bugs, etc.), so I recently purchased a Tascam DP-32SD. The only instrument I can't get are drums and before I invest in an electronic drum kit, I want to see if I can record either Logic Express' (9) or GarageBand's drum loops onto some [digital] tracks on my computer, then try to output them (in stereo) into the Tascam. Is this possible?

I do have a Presonus AudioBox USB connected to my computer so I'm wondering if it's simply a matter of outputting the Presonus outs into the DP's Input jacks? If so, are there any technical issues I should know about?

Thanks for your patience.

UPDATE: Well, crap. After trying to re-install Logic 9 on my computer (due to a recent new HD and OS install), I found that 9 can't be run on my OS. That's what I meant by DAW/computer frustrations!

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5), null
