You can open msg files in any text editor or you can convert them to PDF format.

Servers EnterpriseWhen I tried opening a test .msg file in TextEdit all I got was gibberish, if you cannot open the .msg then you are not going to be able to convert it to a PDF. Therefore I would say BobTheFisherman is incorrect. It would seem .msg is a binary file format unlike .eml which is a text file format.
I have and do use a tool called MailRaider to convert .msg files to .eml files, .eml is the format Apple Mail uses. MailRaider can also itself display the contents of a .msg file or print it, and hence can print it to a PDF.
