Q: Spotlight search from list

Hello community,

Is there a way to copy a list of file names into spotlight and have it search for all? Or an alternative piece of software that can do this?

Thank you!

Try EasyFind, free from the Apple App store :

Take your list of file names (mine in this case)

    Open EasyFind,

Search for : Only Files & Any Word (Red highlighted boxes)

Select the Drive, or Folder you want to search (Green highlighted box) toggling the button (Purple arrow) to make your selection.

Paste your list into the search field (Red Arrow) You wont see the whole list, but it is there.

Click the magnifying glass icon on the right of the search field (Orange highlighted box)

You can do it with the shareware Find Any File.

    Find Any File001.jpg

If you search for the same items frequently you can save the search as a separate macro for FAF.

FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't:  invisible folders, system folders and packages.
