Q: i cannot updat my iphone via itunes because of my iphone not being up to date how can i update my iphone so its up to date latest update i have is ios 9.1.0

please help me update from ios 9.2.0 to get my phone up to date i also cannot use my itunes on my computer it is to far up to date where my iphone cannot be updated unless updated through apple.com

What is the exact text of the message that you are getting ? Messages about needing a newer version of iTunes refer to iTunes that you have installed on your computer, nor your phone - iOS 9.2 require iTunes 12.3+ on the computer

when i plug it into the commputer it says " iphone cannot be used because it requires itune update 11.2 or later. go to itunes.com to update to latest version" and i cannot figure out how to update the iphone on itunes web page

The message means that you need to update iTunes on your computer, not the phone.

If you are now running iOS 9.2.x, you will need iTunes 12.3.x.

To do that you need Windows 7 or better or OSX 10.8.5 or better.
