How to enter new password for wifi on iPad air2

how do you do this with an iPAD Air 2. My wifi password was changed, but now I don't have the option of entering a password. I have tried Forget this network, I have tried resetting all network settings under General. I have tried turning the iPad off completely and have turned off wifi numerous times. it still seems to cling on to the old password. Jan
