Q: Compatbility Power Supply Issues?

Hey All,

Let me thank you for taking the time to read my post. I'll be brief and too the point.

I've got a laptop model: 2011 15" MacBook Pro (let me know if specifics are needed). It's been working OK, boot camped Windows 7 / Mac OSX. El Captain (again I can grab the official update number if needed).

My main question:

I thought it would be a good idea to order a backup power supply, since if mine ever dies, I wont be in the dark for a few days. I'm a college student and save most of my stuff to the cloud.

However I bought this model: (Please post if the link doesn't get there) and scared it wont work for my 15" since it says 13"?

Thoughts?

I was wandering if it would be worth upgrading to windows 10 also from 7, does it check if all my applications are compatible?. Does it use less resources than previous version? I am aware of certain driver errors it creates, but if I'm right it gives you a option to revert. I'm running 8GB ram, don't usually VM into windows usually boot into it alone.

The 15 and 17 inch MacBook Pro use a 85 watt power supply.

    Here

Find the right power adapter and cord for your Mac notebook - Apple Support

    Apple includes:

    General information

Power adapters for Apple notebooks are available in 29W, 45W, 60W, and 85W varieties. You should use the appropriate wattage power adapter for your Apple notebook. You can use a compatible higher wattage adapter without issue, but it won't make your computer charge faster or operate differently. Lower wattage adapters will not provide enough power.
