Q: PowerBook G4 17inch missing under key nipple

On my PowerBook G4 17 inch the rubber nipple that goes under the down key is missing. Anybody know where I could find on? I tried powerbookmedic.com but they only sold the keyboards and keys.

PowerBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

    With older gear, the parts situation tends to be worse every year;

    some specialists may still have access to old stock or new source

    for replacements in the aftermarket. http://www.welovemacs.com/

    may be able to locate something; or suggest another reseller.

    There used to be links at LowEndMac.com to try for older model

    parts or services. https://www.powermax.com/ has a repair service

    but probably no longer does vintage and obsolete Mac; so may not

    have the parts. You could try http://wegenermedia.com to ask them

    about your specific computer model parts. They may have some.

    A few authorized Apple service providers who still can repair older

    models may have to order parts, if they know of a source buy them.

    Sorry to not have a better idea at 1:30AM...

    Good luck & happy computing!
