I am not able to Back Up my iPhone.
I can click on Back Up Now but nothing happens.
When I go to iTunes > Preferences > Devices
The iPhone has never Backed Up.
Any suggestions?

Yes I have tried all of these recommendations without success.
Are you using the current version of iTunes (12.3.2)? You should be. This version requires a reasonably current operating system on your computer.
I amusing iTunes 12.3.2.35 for Mac.
I understamnd this is the latest.
iTunes does recognise my iPhone it will happily sync music, apps etc. but it will not back up.
This is the first time I can truly say that I am extremely angry with Apple after 30 years of owning only Apple products from a 2 Plus up to my brand new iPhone 6s. Becuse I use a Mac that can only run 10.7.5, I cannot sync my phone with my computer. According to Apple support I need to buy a new computer because iTunes 12.2.2 is not new enough to sync with the phone. However the tech told me that I would be able to use almost any windows computer to do the job. HOW SAD IS THAT????? Aplle has to start supporting people who own slightly older computers, especially if they continuously buy new devices. I have owned more than a dozen Apple products over the years. This incident may cause me to chose a PC when I'm in the market again.

This is not a Mac that was just built two or three years ago.
The current version of iTunes requires OS X 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion) or newer. Mountain Lion was released in 2012, so your Mac must be considerably older than that.
Yes, technology marches on.
I am not sure what all this means and how it is pertenant to the issue I am facing.
I have recently purchased a brand new iMac 21.5 inch, 2.8 GHz i5, 16GB memory, 2Tb Fusuion drive.
running Mac OS 10.11.3.
Can you explain the last please?
"The last" I assume refers to my latest post which was a response to IKH and pretty much off topic for our conversation.
But assuming you have a new Mac that has never really communicated to your iPhone before, then:
Hi sberman
I can safely say YES to all of your questions. Other devices I have migrated are syncing and behaving as normal.
All I get is 'waiting for sync to start'. From then on nothing happens.
Sorry for the mispost. Just airing out my frustration with apple
