I see that you are having issues connecting to your Airport network. Yes, if you are unable to connect to your Airport Wi-Fi network, you will not be able to connect to your Time Capsule. Take a look at the following article for steps to resolve the Wi-Fi issues. This covers the later versions of OS X, so if you haven't updated to El Capitan and are still on Yosemite, Mavericks or Mountain Lion, it will apply.
