My iPhone when connected to wifi network of my house uploads a lot of data. I have switched off Background App refresh and also Icloud backup. How do I know which app is uploading the data. It uploades around 5 gb an hour

You can check the cellular data usage on your iPhone to see which apps are using cellular data and how much. If you scroll all the way down below the apps, you will see the System Services. This is where the majority of your data will be used for thinks like Personal Hotspot, Documents & Sync, Messaging Services, Push notifications, etc.
