How do I get my access point name?

Since I purchased an Arris 228G modem and switched to Optimum my 2 wireless, WI-FI Canon printers can't connect!

Canon says to contact my router maker (Apple Airport Extreme) for the Access point name to get the printers back wireless, WI-FI.

Please help.

The access point name is simply the name of the wireless network that the AirPort Extreme is providing.

You can see the name of your wireless network by clicking on the WiFi icon at the top of your Macs screen and verifying that the name appears there.

There will be a check mark next to your wireless network name.....which is also known as a wireless access point.

This would be the same name as you had before.....unless you have changed some of the settings on the AirPort Extreme.
