We don't know. If you called for support and were asked for your credit card and told what the call would cost, then you will be charged. If you are making a call within your 90 day free help after purchase, then no there is no charge. If no charges were discussed then they did not charge you.
We are not Apple but simply users like you. Questions like this one should be asked of the vendor who provided the service. We really have no way of knowing the answer.
