Q: TV Shows won't load! HELP!

Hello and a good day to you.

Very simple here. My internet is fine. I have checked it FOUR times now.

I have a 4th generation Apple TV. Netflix works fine, Hulu works fine, everything works fine, except when I try to load any TV show from iTunes. Shows, by the way, which I have PAID FOR!

I've tried lowering the quality to SD (even though I paid for HD!), I've rebooted, I've reset, I've restarted.

All it says is "Ready to play in 2 hours and 42 minutes" or some other ridiculous amount of time. This is bs.

Does ANYONE know how to fix this issue? PLEASE help! Thanks!

Those other services adapt to the connection. iTunes content is fixed rate, higher quality, and needs to load a portion before playback begins.

What is your current connection via speedtest

Make sure DNS is set to auto (settings - general - network)

    If on wifi try ethernet

    Test on another network

This is a bug in the Apple TV generation four. It's very easy to fix but somewhat annoying.

Click settings from the menu screen. Click system then click restart (NOT Reset) . Once the system is rebooted your shows should load normally. At least until the next time this happens. Hopefully Apple will fix this soon.
