no keyboard and mouse during windows 7 installation on IMAC late 2013

Hi,

I've to install windows7 64bit on Imac late 2013 21,5".

I do all the procedure with bootcamp but when the first windows7 installation page appear keyboard and mouse doesn't work.

You need them to choose "continue".

I read many threads but no one worked for me.

I did a bootable usb with bootcamp, I downloaded the bootcamp support driver for the specific IMAC model.

No way to go forward with the installation.

Any idea?

thank you .

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11)

Is your USB installer using a USB2 flash drive?

Thank you for the fast answer.

Yes I did it for the second time and this time worked.

But I can't choose the partition installation "bootcamp" because is not NTFS.

It was strange but I formatted and continued the installation.

Problem:

After first reboot

error 0xc0000428

windows\system32\drivers\applessd.sys

is not possible to verify the driver signature.

May be I have to load driver before choosing the partition?

So I tried to start again the installation from usb but again no keyboard no wireless

I read other threads about this driver signature problem and the solution seems to be "delete the driver".

On my osx is installed tuxera ntfs, so I navigate in the folder BOOTCAMP/Windows/System32/Drivers and.... there were no files, empy 0byte😮

I want to try again.

delete partition

reboot on osx

create bootcamp partition

try to load drivers

Cross fingers

I did this work many time on my macbook pro and I always had no problem

Imac, I don't now why but is very annoying

Finally succeeded. IMAC late 2013 windows 7

Really thank you to Loner T

  1. use USB 2.0 flash drive (minimium 8gb)
  2. you need windows image installation file
  3. download windows support for windows 7 (we call "A") from apple site Software di supporto Boot Camp 5.1.5640
  4. Copy it on other usb
  5. download windows support from bootcamp menu---> Action---> download windows support (we call "B")
  6. from "A" download copy folder intelxHCISetup (in $winpedriver$ folder) and paste in "B" download in $winpedriver$ folder
  7. from "B" open $winpedriver$ folder and remove AppleSSD64 folder
  8. open utility disc---->file--->new image---> image from folder---> choose windows support ("B")---> call it windows support and continue
  9. Now we have "windows support.DMG" file
  10. open your mac root--->library--->Application support--->Bootcamp---> copy here "windows support.DMG"
  11. open bootcamp and check only the first 2 option (at the moment do not create bootcamp partition)
  12. choose windows image and continue
  13. when it finish to create the usb installation disk, it will ask to download manually the windows support--->continue
  14. It will open safari--->close it
  15. Restart osx
  16. open bootcamp and check the third option
  17. It will create bootcamp partition and it will restart from usb
  18. At this point windows installation should go straight (I hope😁😁😁)
  19. When you log in windows before shutdown remember to install bootcamp driver support that you copied on second usb

I'm not sure that all this step are necessary but worked for me

Thank you
