How to remove shuffle on ipad

Question

How to remove shuffle on ipad

Whenever I play a playlist on my iPad, it's in "Shuffle" mode. How can I remove it from that mode???

Okay, back home and took a look at my iPad Mini. When in the Music app, and in a Playlist, when you start playing a song, it will appear at the bottom of the screen, just above the icon bar. You will see the play/pause button, and the fast forward and fast reverse button, the name of the song in the center, then a couple of more icons to the right side.

Tap on that bar, and it will bring up a screen, similar to the one I posted from the iPhone, and it fills the entire screen. There are icons along the bottom, you will find the shuffle icon, then the repeat icon, then to the right the share, and then 3 dots. If you tap on the shuffle here, it will have a highlight around it when it is on, and nothing when off.

Once tapped there, it will be off for the playlist. Hope that takes care of it.

Hi Chris. Thanks for the response.

Unfortunately my iPad doesn't display the same info. My old iPod does have a similar screen and if I click the shuffle button on that, it toggles the shuffle function On and OFF.

On the iPad, I select a playlist and then se the list of songs. Near the top, there's a line that says "Shuffle" and has the shuffle symbol on it. (That's in red). If I click on that line while a song is playing, all it does is start playing another song!!!

Also, I've noticed that I don't have the ability, on the iPad (mini) to move the "playhead" forward or back!!! I do have that function on the old iPod, but not on the iPad!!!

Finally, clicking on one of the songs in the list starts playing that song. Once the song is playing, clicking it again does nothing!

Very weird!

I'm sorry, I am at work right now and don't have my iPad with me. When you are listening to a song, there should be something showing you the song you are currently playing, and then if you tap on it should see something similar to the screen I provided. I will check later on when I get home and provide some screen shots if necessary.
