Q: My Music

So one day I turned my phone on and it was like it restarted. My music was gone and so was my pictures. It is a few days later and my pictures came back but not my music. What is going on???

iPhone 5c, iOS 9.2.1

    I'm sorry to hear this has happened to you

     

    its quite strange that your phone will power off and then loose your pictures & music

     

    the following steps may help

     

    1. go to settings > iTunes & app store

    2. check that you are signed in using your Apple id (email address) will appear in blue writing

    3. if signed into iTunes & app store

    4. go to settings < Music >

    5. check that Apple Music is (on)

    6. also check that iCloud Music Library is also (on) in the same window

    7. once both have been enabled
    8. open the iTunes store app

    9. tap on more... bottom right corner

    10. tap on purchased > Music

    11. select not on this phone

    12. download any items listed

    13. open the Music app

    14.check that your Music is listed or Downloading

     

    iCloud stores any purchased content in the cloud , which free's up the storage on your device
