how can I upload photos from iphone to laptop

I have the iphone 5c and a windows laptop. I'd like to be able to save my pictures from the phone to the laptop because, unfortunately, I am getting rid of my phone. These are precious pictures and I'd like to keep them. If anyone can assist, please and thank you.
