Cant repair sd card (memory card) to extract files from it

I have a corrupted SD card that will not show up in my finder. It would not show up in disc utility for awhile but just randomly appeared after a TON of attempts to get it to show. Finally after showing up in my disc utility, I tried to repair it but the verify disk and repair disk button are completely greyed out. HOW do i get this to work?
