Q: Itunes Match "waiting"

I have had iTunes Match for a few weeks, most of my library is now matched, but about 10% say they are "waiting" I have tried "updating" the library quite a few times, but without any luck. Any ideas?

    Hi Colin,

If you are experiencing songs that aren't being matched with iTunes Match and you see the waiting prompt, please check out this article:

If iTunes Match freezes or times out during the upload process

    Follow the steps below.

    Restart the matching process

Turn iCloud Music Library off, then on again.

    On your Mac or PC:

    1. Open iTunes.
    2. Mac: From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose iTunes > Preferences and turn off iCloud Music Library.
Windows: Hold down the Control and B keys on your keyboard to open the iTunes menu bar. Choose iTunes > Preferences and turn off iCloud Music Library. Learn more about menus in iTunes for Windows.
    3. Close Preferences.
    4. Mac: From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose iTunes > Preferences and turn on iCloud Music Library.
Windows: Hold down the Control and B keys on your keyboard to open the iTunes menu bar. Choose iTunes > Preferences and turn on iCloud Music Library.

Make sure that iTunes Genius is on

    1. Turn off iCloud Music Library.
    2. Turn on Genius on your Mac or PC. Allow the process to complete.
    3. Turn on iCloud Music Library.

Check your iTunes library for songs that are ineligible for upload

    1. In iTunes, turn on the iCloud Download column to see the iCloud Music Library icons.
    2. If you see a cloud icon with a line through it   next to any song in your iCloud Music Library, the song is ineligible for upload.
    3. Move these songs to their own folder or to your desktop. If you don't need these songs, delete them.
    4. Turn iCloud Music Library off, then back on.

After iTunes Match finishes matching your eligible songs, you can add the ineligible songs back to your iTunes library.

Check if any explicit songs are being matched to the clean version

    1. In iTunes, find the explicit songs. Delete the songs from your computer and from your iCloud Music Library.
    2. Re-import the songs from the original source at a high quality.
    3. From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose File > Library > Update iCloud Music Library.

    Best regards.

Many thamks for this, I tried the process 3 or 4 times, each time when I finally turned the library back on it said is would update the library but very shortly completed the process without doing any thing, I have about 1000 that are still "waiting". I have some 4,600 tracks in the library already 48GB, what I dont understand is that some ablums bought from itunes have one or two tracks "waiting" so  its not consistant. Any help would be great
