Q: How do I set my mac server to it's default ip address
Our company has a mac pro server tower mid 2010. It has two ethernet ports. Ethernet 1 is what we use for server/network access. Ethernet 2 is our tandberg tape drive that has it's own ip settings for browser use to enter the portal for it's backup features. This has suddenly started happening. We had a power outage and when the server was restarted it changed the ip address to the address of the tape drive. In order for me to reset it to our server's ip address I have to shut the server down, unplug the ethernet 2 cable and restart. Every time now this happens. When I'm remote doing server maintenance I have to be physically in the office that next morning to reset the ip address. Everything still works fine for us no matter what ip address it uses but we cannot use our photo library browser service because that's attached to the server's ip address. When we use a browser to access our photo library it says page cannot be found because it can't connect to the server ip address. Is there a way to make sure the server's ip address is set to be it's default? Sorry if this sounds confusing. I've tried searching on my own and have had no luck finding a solution. Thanks to all for reading. Andy
