iPhoto issues

So I backed up my friends computer and restored her computer. Her MacBook Air had iPhoto and a library for it but that computer was all under somebody else's account so I can't move the old iPhoto to her restored disk which makes it where I can't open her iPhoto library which has 27gb of pictures on it. What should I do to get those pictures since there is nothing to open it with since iPhoto is no longer for sale?
