Q: How do I redeem gift card sent to me via email. When I press redeem now, it wants me to download itunes which I already have

My Wife sent me a gift card for iTunes via my email. When I click on redeem now, it takes me to a screen to download iTunes. I already have an iTunes account. How can I get this gift into my account?????
