Q: How do I connect a Mid-2011 15" MBP to two 27" iMacs (mid-2010 and mid-2011) as extra displays?
I have a Mid-2011 MacBook Pro 15" w/ and I want to extend it's desktop over two other iMacs. The MBP has two thunderbolt ports. In other words, I want the iMacs to be secondary monitors. How do I connect them? Or what combination of cables and/or target display modes do I require?
The two iMacs I have:
- Mid-2011, 27” iMac (that has a Thunderbolt port)
- Mid-2010 27” iMac (that has MiniDisplay port)
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

Mac OS X
You need both a Mini DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort cable and a Thunderbolt to Thunderbolt cable. Put each iMac into Target Display mode separately.
