Apple TV 4th drops internet connection in standby

Hi,

Everything worked fine with my 4th gen apple tv until last week. Then all of a sudden I was unable to switch on my apple tv through my iphone using airplay (I can't see my apple tv in the airplay pop-up on my phone). Previously it was worked like a charm.

I have to switch on manually (by the remote of the ATV) the apple tv to mirror my phone to the ATV. Once it is on, everything is fine.

There is one other thing, every time I switch on the ATV it shows that there is no network connection, but by the time I navigate to the network menu, everything looks fine, and there is a working connection. I connected to my router via ethernet cable.

So for me, it seems that when the ATV is in stand-by mode, it drops the network connection, since a few days.

I've already tried to restart everything, but it didn't solve my issue.

Did anyone experience something like this?

Same problem

problems with AirPlay ( I see Appletv (2) or (3) from my iPhone ) and Remote App doesn't work

I think that is Ethernet connection problem i wanna try Wi-Fi

This is what I am trying also, I switched to wi-fi, but then I had to leave to work. I am curios what will happen when I'll get home.

It's funny because I thought ethernet is more reliable and stable than wi-fi, this is why I've chosen it instead of wireless.

Using wifi, it works fine. Now, I did a factory reset, ethernet cable back, now I am waiting. Let's see...

I am experiencing the same problem on an Apple TV 4 running tvOS 9.1.1 connected via Ethernet.

Waking from sleep used to work properly via AirPlay but has been broken via a recent firmware update.

Unfortunately the very same issue on the Apple TV 3 took several months and multiple firmware releases before it finally got addressed.

Yeah, my ATV4 is having weird network issues on ethernet - losing it during sleep.

I am trying wifi now to see if it works more reliably.

Same problem here.

Haven't tried the WiFi "solution" but wanna use my Apple TV with ethernet connection...

Please fix this asap, Apple.
