El Capitan and ActivIdentity USB reader v3.0
Has anyone managed to get this reader to work on OS X 10.11? It seems that this reader used to work on Yosemite.
So far, I've ran the El Capitan installer from http://smartcardservices.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/installers Also had no luck with disabling System Integrity Protection in recovery mode (csrutil disable).
I've also had no luck with another reader, SCR-3500A, which should work on El Capitan: http://www.thursby.com/support/faq/scr-3500a-and-os-x
A "CAC" is listed in Keychain Access and can be unlocked with the correct code. Yet no items are listed, but they should be as they're listed in Windows 7.
And System Information seems to correctly recognise the reader:
USB Reader V3:
Product ID: 0x0013
Vendor ID: 0x09c3 (ACTIVCARD, INC.)
Version: 2.03

Manufacturer: ActivIdentity
Location ID: 0x14200000 / 8

Can you recommend any other "smart card reader" that works flawlessly on latest OS X? Or knows the correct steps to make the two readers above (ActivIdentity and SCR-3500A) work? Thank you.
PS. Has anyone had any luck with buying ActivClient for OS X?
