Q: How do I screenshare without airplay or use airplay with cable

I'm in software sales and have an iphone 6 and a company issued Windows laptop.

Some of our software is nicely demoed to customers via an iphone. For that I use the iphone, reflector 2 ( from squirrels) thus airplay and my laptop to then display to a projector or a large screen in the room. Thus hopefully enthralling my audience enough to buy our software.  That's the perfect scenario.

Here is my dilemma.

Airplay / Reflector 2 requires both my laptop and phone to be on the same wifi network in order for airplay to work. Customers will sometimes (pretty darn often) block the airplay ports. No way to get around this by asking them to open up airplay ports just for my sales pitch to them. It's just not going to happen. Full stop.

So solution 1. Do all demos from a 4g card. Great until you find that connection isn't always so consistent in a windowless boardroom or generally slows down the larger enterprise business software I'm trying to sell.

What I want to do:

Get a simple cable from iphone/ipad that I can connect to my laptop. Screenshare what I see on phone onto my laptop. If that still means airplay that's fine as long as ports are not blocked between laptop and phone. Can we screenshare just using a lightning cable? (Keep in mind company issued Dell laptop)
