Q: Trackpad frozen and unresponsive on MacBook Pro

Trackpad is frozen and unresponsive on my MacBook Pro running OS10.7.5. What can I do?

iPhone 4S, iOS 6

    It is always helpful if you indicate the EXACT model/year MBP that you have.

     

    On older MBPs, the battery occasionally is known to expand and interfere with trackpad operation.  Open the MBP and inspect the battery.  If there are signs of expansion, replace the battery immediately.
