Q: iPod Touch 6th Generation playlists alphabetical on Car Stereo

I have a Pioneer AVH-4100NEX and I just purchased a 6th Generation iPod Touch.  When I start the car the iPod does not play so I have to push play each time and when I try to play a playlist they only show up on the head unit with the song list in alphabetical order.

I have a 7th Generation iPod Nano and neither of these were problems.  The Nano would resume when I started the car and the playlists appear on the head unit exactly as on the iPod.

Does anyone else have these issues with car head units and iPod Touch's?  Anyone have a solution?  I wanted wireless iPod syncing but both of these issues are deal breakers (and ridiculous).

iPod touch, iOS 9.2.1

Contact Pioneer support. Others have posted that the later iOS updates have broken full compatibility with some car systems.

I have the EXACT same problem!!!  I have an ipod touch 5th gen and I just got the 4200-NEX.  I updated both systems almost immediately so not sure if it's the latest updates on either.  I had the avh-5800BHS before this unit and it would list my playlists in alphabetical order but the songs within were just like how I put them.  Now this freaking 4200 won't start automatically playing my ipod which is annoying and it has all my songs in each playlist as alphabetical!  I have separated albums within playlists for certain bands and now it's just all thrown together!  I can't stand this and feel if I can't find a work around the radio isn't worth money!!!!  I contacted Pioneer and they said this is normal and basically theres nothing you can do and she just hung up!  Awesome customer service...not.  I've been researching for days trying to find out if I can rename all 3000+ songs in my library/playlists so they will play correctly.  Anyway no luck on that so far.  But I did learn that if you tell siri to play a playlist, it will play in the right order.  Also bluetooth audio seems to play in the correct order.  But I love seeing my custom made album art and bluetooth doesn't have the nifty alpha search bar on the side.  but I might have to resort to these processes for now.
