hi all,
iv'e got an Power Mac G4 MDD and i'm looking for options for the OS, i would like it to run leopard but will it be supported?
if someone could give me advice it would be much appreciated.

When your G4 is the "mirrored drive doors" model, it can run Leopard.

Leopard requirements/10.5.x...
* Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor
minimum system requirements
* 512MB of memory (I say 1.5GB for PPC at least, 2-3GB minimum for IntelMacs)
* DVD drive for installation
* 9GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)

Trouble is Apple no longer sells it, check eBay & such for the Retail version, not the Gray Discs...

most G4 have 10.4 as last. this "Mirrored Drive Doors" model can handle Leopard. There are some more G4 models that can: there is a large list in Mactracker.
It may be difficult to get a disc of it, but maybe the OP has it already.

Thanks Lex, yeah, it's just the "Classic" OS9 emulator that doesn't run/work in 10.5.x./ 🙂
