How do I change the mouse cursor color?

While moving the mouse between displays, I find it difficult to locate the mouse cursor. Is there a preferences setting that will allow me to change the color of the mouse cursor from its default black fill and white outline? Do I need to find a 3rd party application to do this?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

It would take a third-party system hack to accomplish, and some can destabilize your computer. With what's already installed, you can safely enlarge the cursor. Go to System Preferences >Accessibility and select "Display" from the left-hand pane. There you will find a slider that changes the size of the cursor:

This has no negative effects on your system, something one can't guarantee with some hack from a third-party developer.
