My calendars have multiplied

Whereas I had one Home, one U.S. Holidays, one Faith - now there are a dozen of each.

Will logging in and out of iCloud Calendars suffice or are more drastic measures required?

and naturally each duplicate calendar sends a reminder for the same event!

How can I delete these duplicate calendars. Will logging out of iCloud - and

removing all iCloud data from Mac and phone - then re-logging in help?
