Q: Home sharing switches off after 30 minutes and needs to be switched back on before it will stay on for another 30 minutes
I am using aToshiba laptop and iTunes with home sharing on Apple TV.
Turning on home sharing enables me to listen to my music or show pictures for 30 minutes on my TV before home sharing switches off and requires turning on via iTunes library
I have reset the Apple TV back to original settings and the problem persists
The only changes that I have made to my laptop is upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 which I do not like and wondered if I return to Windows 7 would this solve my problem?

Perhaps your power saving settings on the laptop cause it to close down network services after 30 minutes. Choosing a different power saving plan or adjusting options may help.
