How to connect my MacBook Air to TV (HDMI)

I need to know what cable is needed to connect my MacBook Air 7,2 to my TV using HDMI.

MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), Model 7,2

Again, on a Mac its Thunderbolt not Lightning.


I can't find a direct cable on Apple's Online store, but Amazon does have some options such as:

If you are looking for something to use with an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch, then it is Lightning, and no, I have been unable to find a direct cable, you would need to go through the Digital Av adapter first.
