Q: Cannot send emails from my Macbook air using btinternet
I cannot send emails from MAIL on my MacBook Air from my btinternet email account.
I didn't have a problem until I had to change my password on the btinternet server.
I have followed all the Account settings on my Macbook and updated them to my new password but the message at the Outgoing mail server SMTP indicates Btinternet offline
Any advice please will be much appreciated

If you've changed the password of the account, you may need to change it in the settings for the SMTP (outgoing mail) server.
From the Mail menu bar, please select
Window ▹ Connection Doctor
Look for the corresponding SMTP account in the window that opens. Double-click it. The Mail preferences window will open, showing the account settings.
Select the Advanced tab. If there is a Password field, enter the new password, then click OK and close the window.
