Mar 7, 2016 9:57 AM in response to bkja2010by ChrisJ4203,The support document that you linked to the forum from explains how to import photos. Depending on where you store them, determines something about deleting from the phone. If you have them in iCloud, deleting them from the phone will delete them from everywhere. I don't know how the import utility on the Mac works, since I'm a Windows user, but you should be able to delete the photos from the phone when you import them. If not, then you can delete them from the phone manually after the import.

If so, you have to be very careful - as Chris said if you delete them on your phone you will delete them on your Mac (all Apple devices that have iCloud P.L. or P.S. enabled). If you do not have iCloud P.L. or P.S. enabled your photos will show in Camera Roll on your phone. You can follow the import instructions in the previously linked article to transfer them to your MacBook. I have a MacBook and a W10 PC and the process is essentially the same EXCEPT for the iCloud concerns above.
This article may help if you do have iCloud P.L.
