Q: What is apple.com-securemessage.com?

A few minutes ago I got a pop up that said I needed to do a full scan because a virus was found on my computer.

I ASSUME this is a scam - what steps do I need to do besides MALWAREBYTES for MAC scan to be sure this "junk is GONE for good"?

I called Apple Support at 4:23; 4:30 and again 5PM - they are down and can't give me a case number; or do a remote check of my puter.

Your input please????!!!!!!!

If you have force quit Safari, then restarted Safari while holding the shift key and no other pop up mesaages have appeared, there should be no further need for action. The messages are annoying, but not a threat unless you call the number or otherwise interract with the message.
