How do I get my computer to recognize my Ipod shuffle 4th generation. I purchaed an audio book and it is on my playlist but did not get to the Ipod.

I, purchased an audio book thru ITunes and it made it to my playlist but my computer will not recognize my Ipod shuffle. I have Windows 10.

Is this shuffle new? If so, make sure the shuffle's headphones plug is fully inserted into the shuffle's headphones jack, as shown in this document. It should "click" into place.
