My ipad has suddenly started typing in Japanese, how can I stop it and get it back to English?

This is really annoying, yesterday my ipad started translating everything in English to Japanese and there are Japanese characters on the keyboard, I have checked settings and there are 2 Japanese keyboards which I had never noticed before, but English is selected. PLeeeeeease can someone tell me how to fix this as it is really annoying!

You've removed the Japanese keyboards from your selected keyboard list via the Edit button at the top right of Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards ?

When using the keyboard you can cycle through your selected keyboards via the globe button bottom right of the keyboard (the globe button won't show if you have just the one keyboard enabled in Settings).
