Q: Bootcamp issue when trying to create Win7 bootable USB

So...

I already reseted my NVRAM;

I'm using a wired connection;

Formatted my USB Stick 2.0.... And when I try to create a bootable USB with Windows 7 the following pop-up message appears:Screen Shot 2016-03-08 at 4.27.24 PM.png

I'm using Windows 7 .iso file! What is going on!?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), null

    Only bootcamp v 4.1 and 5 will support win 7 at all, MS dropped support for it before OS 10.11 was released and bootcamp will no longer support NEW installs of it. Grandfathered installs os Win 7 can still be access by bootcamp, or installed through vmware, parallels, or virtual box.

    El Cap ships with BootCamp 6.

    If you have not done so already boot to an earlier instance of the OS if you have a TM backup or another boot device available to you.

    So, despite Bootcamp Assistant on El Capitan says it can create a bootable USB with Win7, in reality it doesn't? So lame.

    MS dropped it from all but security patches, Apple appears to do the same with making it compatible with BC.

    I agree with the shame offering only Windows 8 and 10, one is horrendous, the second a disaster. Windows 7 was such an outstanding stable piece of software and to follow it up with what's tantamount to vista 2.0 and vista 3.0 for workgroups is a wreck of a decision IMHO.

    I highly suggest VB if you don't want to get stuck with those two as your choices and don't want to buy something

    if you don't mind paying than Parallels and VWware fusion are also excellent alternatives to BC.

    I dont know If I was clear enough:

    All I want to do is create a Intsall USB to connect it to a notebook that contains windows, format this notebook and install the windows 7 from the bootable USB that I would like to create with Boot Camp Assistant on El Capitan.

    BC6 will let you create a USB Installer on appropriate models for W7. However, you will have to use the link that JimmyCMPIT posted to put $WinPEDRiver$, Bootcamp and AutoUnattend.xml by hand as BC6 will download these. I assume the notebook is a Mac, not a regular PC. A regular PC may not like the $WinPEDriver$ contents and allow the installer to work.
