BootCamp error on windows 7 installation?

Hey, so I have a MacBook Air Mid-2011 13' and i'm trying to put Win7 on it but im having trouble.

I am running OS X El Capitan.

I have 63 GB Free off my SSD so thats no trouble

My USB drive to boot windows with bootcamp is 32GB so there *Should* be no trouble....

However, my bootcamp stops midway and says that there is not enough space on the drive...

My drive is formatted in ExFat with MBR Mapping.

It isn't working any way or form, and my windows ISO IS NOT MOUNTED.

Anyone have an idea on how to fix this ? Thanks 🙂

Edit : I observed activity monitor and it seems to stop exactly at 4.22GB. My USB is 32GB and its not formatted on FAT where the limit is 4GB, ExFat should be 16EB...

Don't use a third party disk management tool. Use Disk Utility to format the partition and then use the Windows installer to finish the job.

Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support

After step 15, follow THIS

I have Windows 7 on a 2012 rMBP so you should be fine on a MacBook Air, although I would probably give it a little more than 32 GB. Rememver that any files you have while booted to Windows will quickly take up the remaining space. Also if you are installing and older copy of Windows 7, there will be lots of updates that take up more and more space. I rarely use Windows and I gave it almost 100GB just to be safe. If you play any games they take up space as well. Make sure you are allocating enough space for installation and additional files that may come in the future.

Im having trouble Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support step (7) it isn't working.

Im using Disk Utility to format my USB. I make it into exFat but for some reason BootCamp auto makes it into FAT32 That is only capable of 4GB Files. My iso is 6GB ~

And no, Im gonna allocate 65GB TO WINDOWS, but my USB DRIVE is 32GB large but it says "Not enough space in the drive"

I am simply just making bootcamp download the ISO into my USB drive to make it the WIN INSTALLER but it "runs out of space" when it has 32gb to work with.

The Windows ISO is not intended to be put on a USB. BCA extracts files from the ISO and merges with BC Support Software to create a USB Installer if your Mac supports this method of installation. Your ISO must be a single 32-bot or 64-bit, but not both. A 6GB ISO does not sound the correct size, it should be 3.2-4GB.
