Mar 8, 2016 1:18 PM in response to GZL99by Pmintz25,Don't use a third party disk management tool. Use Disk Utility to format the partition and then use the Windows installer to finish the job.
Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support
After step 15, follow THIS
I have Windows 7 on a 2012 rMBP so you should be fine on a MacBook Air, although I would probably give it a little more than 32 GB. Rememver that any files you have while booted to Windows will quickly take up the remaining space. Also if you are installing and older copy of Windows 7, there will be lots of updates that take up more and more space. I rarely use Windows and I gave it almost 100GB just to be safe. If you play any games they take up space as well. Make sure you are allocating enough space for installation and additional files that may come in the future.

Mar 8, 2016 1:24 PM in response to Pmintz25by GZL99,Im having trouble Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support step (7) it isn't working.
Im using Disk Utility to format my USB. I make it into exFat but for some reason BootCamp auto makes it into FAT32 That is only capable of 4GB Files. My iso is 6GB ~
And no, Im gonna allocate 65GB TO WINDOWS, but my USB DRIVE is 32GB large but it says "Not enough space in the drive"
I am simply just making bootcamp download the ISO into my USB drive to make it the WIN INSTALLER but it "runs out of space" when it has 32gb to work with.

The Windows ISO is not intended to be put on a USB. BCA extracts files from the ISO and merges with BC Support Software to create a USB Installer if your Mac supports this method of installation. Your ISO must be a single 32-bot or 64-bit, but not both. A 6GB ISO does not sound the correct size, it should be 3.2-4GB.

Mar 9, 2016 6:19 AM in response to GZL99by Loner T,Remove all external storage, including your USB Installer, run the following two procedures,
Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support
How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
Run BCA and try to choose only the last option - 'Install...'. Please report any error messages.

Mar 9, 2016 11:56 AM in response to GZL99by Loner T,You are confusing Free Space and Free Contiguous Space. To be able to shrink/relocate partitions, contiguous space is a requirement. Use TM to backup/erase/restore OSX to get contiguous free space, and then retry.

Mar 9, 2016 12:02 PM in response to Loner Tby GZL99,I know what these are, but I dont know how to get them. How do I get contiguous space? And how do I see how much is left? Is there any other alternative than restoring OSX?
Okay, so if i boot mac holding "R" and go into that special mode, and select to reinstall OS X, would that work?

Mar 9, 2016 12:18 PM in response to GZL99by Loner T,Boot into Internet Recovery and run Utilities -> Terminal and run diskutil repairDisk disk0 and retry?
Using Time Machine is the other option.

Mar 9, 2016 12:33 PM in response to Loner Tby GZL99,How do you boot into "Internet Recovery" ? Is it the Command + R thing on startup of computer? Also, will this delete my data?

Mar 9, 2016 12:45 PM in response to GZL99by Loner T,Please see OS X: About OS X Recovery - Apple Support . It is always good to have back ups. The repairDisk can rebuild your EFI partition on the disk.
