You posted a statement... not a question. Do you have a question?
Are you saying that you are attempting to use an Ethernet connection for Internet? OR are you asking how to connect to the Internet if Ethernet is not possible?

I get a not connected message. I have checked with apple support and there seems to be an issue with some mac's having this issue. I have since set up Wifi, but I want to be able to be hard wired. I have checked with my internet provider and all is well on that end. I was thinking maybe someone has a fix.
