Q: FaceTime has no "Calls from iPhone checkbox.
OS X ElCapitan V10.11.3, iMac (Late 2012), iPhone 6s iOS V9.2.1. FaceTime V3.0 (2600). My wife answers calls from her iPhone on her iMac (Late 2013) nearly every day. That feature used to work for me but I turned if off some time ago because I didn't need it. Now I need to re-enable it for business calls, as my iPhone gets no signal in my basement office.
The problem is, my iMac's FaceTime > Preferences > Settings, has no checkbox for "Calls from iPhone". My wife and I have exactly the same versions of all of the software installed. She has an iPhone 6 but mine is an iPhone 6s. I've verified that I'm logged onto the iCloud with the same ID. On my iPhone, FaceTime is allowed to use cellular data. Under FaceTime > Settings I've verified my iCloud account and the account is enabled. Under Phone > Calls on Other Devices > AllowCalls on Other Devices is enabled, and my iPad and my iMac are allowed. I can make and answer calls on my iPad. So, what happened to my "Calls from iPhone" on my iMac?
I've been searching the forums for hours, and it looks like Apple is telling me that WiFi calls aren't supported on Verizon, yet as I say, my wife uses it nearly every day and it works on my iPad.
Thank you in advance for any ideas.

Clearly there is something going on between Apple and Verizon, because I have in the past used this feature on my iMac, with my current phone. And now Apple no longer supports Verizon and has taken my "Calls from iPhone" button away.
One of the differences between my phone and my wife's phone is that her SIM card is not locked. (Sim-free). She bought her phone through Verizon. My phone's SIM card is locked. I bought my iPhone from Apple.
When I called Verizon to get mine unlocked, something that the providers are now required by law to do, the guy helping me came back on with his supervisor, and told me pretty much verbatim: We don't lock our SIM cards, so you'll have to call Apple. (Not even going to waste my time trying that). I could try one of the dozens of WEB sites out there that charge for this service, but I have no idea whether or not that $40 would solve my problem. It would allow me to move to AT&T, but I like the customer service at Verizon (except for today), my wife is happy with Verizon, and she won't jump with me. The moral of this story: I'll never buy another phone through iTunes.
Apple giveth, and Apple taketh away. And I give up.
