Q: iTunes unable to close after I burn cd / leaves disc icon on desktop afterwards

Hi, I would like some help with my iTunes, please. All of a sudden whenever I am done burning cd's, I cannot quit iTunes. I am able to minimize it and then I can see that a little icon of a disc appears on my desktop. This has never happened before and I've had my laptop for 5-6 years. Does this happen to anyone else? Can this be fixed? Thank you.

MacBook (13-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Hey there Christine Altieri,

I understand that iTunes is not closing after burning a CD. I would like to suggest that you try to force close the app if this is the case:
