Mirror Desktop with windows 10 to Samsung Smart tv with Macbook pro 2015

Hi,

i have a macbook pro 2015 with AMD Radeon R9 M370X, i am trying to mirror my desktop using windows 10 to a Samsung Smart Tv 2015. Until now:

- The tv is compatible with screen mirroring;

- The windows 10 is compatible with the samsung tv.

- The tv is direct connect to the router and the macbook is near the tv and the router (so the problem isn't from the network)

But even so I can not connect the two devices, so i am guessing the AMD Radeon R9 isn't compatible. I want to know if that's true and if it is true i want to kown if the intel iris is compatible and how do i turn of the AMD Radeon R9 to use this feature.

Never the less the mirror technology is not new and this problem shouldn't even exist since this is a recent laptop, i am starting to regret of bought this portable...

Thanks for the help and i apologize for my impatience but this laptop wasn't cheap and even a 400 euros computer can do this.

You cannot mirror a display over the network without third-party tools over the network. You can use Remote Desktop. WiDi is not supported on Macs, even with Intel GPUs.

Display mirroring can also be achieved by connecting the Mac directly yo the Samsung using HDMI, VGA, DVI, DisplayPort or TB, based on availability and compatibility.

windows does not have some generic mirror across the network feature

if your tv have something like that then it would require software or special hardware in the computer

to manage that feat

in terms of windows features the mac would be fully equal of another windows pc with the same specs

if you for whatever reason wish to complain to apple about something then these forums is not really the way as we are all users like yourself so you can use
