Hello, I have an iPhone 6 Plus (9.2.1) and a MacBook Pro (10.11.3). When I plug my iPhone into my MacBook and open iTunes it claims that the iOS needs to be updated. However, on the iPhone itself in settings it claims that it is up to date. When 9.2.1 was released I went to settings on the iPhone and updated it. Does anyone know a solution to this? Thanks!

There is a 9.2.1 update which is being delivered through iTunes only. It addresses the very specific Error 53 issue:
If iTunes is offering it, update to it. It is a large file however so be prepared to wait for it fully download.
That's odd, it seems like they should've named/numbered it different. Thanks for the information! I was going to update it anyway through iTunes since it was insisting. I just didn't want to wait for the download if I didn't have to if it was already up to date! Thanks again!
