Hi, I'm not able to scan with Preview.app
Function is in gray (unavailable)
It happens since I've upgraded to the OS.
Actually I use the latest OX and also have the latest scan drivers.
OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.3 (15D21)
Any clue?

a) Added your scanner in the System Preferences? / It's shown. Please see the screen capture.
b) Downloaded/installed drivers either through Apple or directly from Epson? / Both. I use App Store / Updates and Epson Software Updater.
c) Tried to use Image Capture to scan with? / I don't think this matter is important. I'm forced to use Epson's Scan Utility.
Before, it was easy to scan using the Preview App, Now I'm forced to use a third party app (which is very slow).
Preview has lost this function (unavailable) on mi computer...

Yes. I do manual updates frecuently using App Store and Epson Software Updater.
What are you doing when you try to scan?

Is your scanner listed in the Import from Scanner sub-menu?
No scanner is listed in File / Import from Scanner.
In few words: The system detects my scanner but Preview.app doesn't.

c) tried to use Image Capture to scan with?
I can't comment on Preview as I've never tried to use that - I either use the printer/scanner drivers/software or Image Capture.

Are the latest scanner drivers you have compatible with El Capitan. What are you doing when you try to scan? Is your scanner listed in the Import from Scanner sub-menu?

Well, that is your opinion. Image Capture is an Apple application already installed and works very well. I didn't use Epson's (when I had a printer) because Image Capture did a fine job.
